Q) I am a Member of Another Union, Can I Join this Union too?
A) Praxis allows you to be a member of other unions, so this will depend on if your other union also allows you to be a member of another union at the same time, please check your union’s T&Cs.
Q) Who / What Organisations are Driving the Establishment of this Union?

A) The union has been established by artists volunteering their time.

Read about our vision and objectives here.

Q) What are the Fees for?

A) Dues are essential to directly support the running of the union. It is important that we remain an independent organisation that genuinely represents artists’ interests. To that end, we cannot accept funding from any other sources other than member dues and appropriate donations.

Q) How does Praxis Differ from Other Artist Membership Organisations?

A) As a labour union we empower our members to resolve workplace issues and improve their living conditions. Campaigns may be part of our activities but they are not exclusively our concern.

We aim to support and work with other organisations such as Visual Artists’ Ireland, the National Campaign for the Arts, the Arts Council and others.

Q) What is Praxis Policy in Relation to Data?

A) For information regarding our Privacy Policy, please see our Privacy & Policy Page.
